Responsibilities include:
Scheduling/monitoring production of shop work to meet customer demand
Build, train,certify technician team to carry out shop service/rental department functions.
Managing risk by ensuring shop employees are trained/certified, all work meets REI/vendor quality/safety specifications.
Assembling/repairing action sports equipment to REI/vendor standards
Preserving complete/accurate shop records and maintaining record systems
Completing Post Accident inspections/reports as necessary
Acting as liaison between customer, store, AHQ, vendor on resolving highest-level repair problems
Resolving action sports equipment non-conformity/warranty issues
Researching/reporting significant quality/safety issues to ASM/HQ Product Quality Research Analyst. Advising of alternatives/solutions before proceeding.
Ordering shop materials,tools, supplies, parts
Assisting immediate supervisor in evaluating staff needs: hiring, scheduling, evaluating staff performance
Maintaining equipment/ensuring clean, secure,safe work environment
